Commonwealth Games: Fahad Khawaja cruises into table tennis next round of 32

Fahad Khawaja of Pakistan won the final match of men’s table tennis at the 2022 Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham.
Fahad Khawaja, ranked 719th in the world, has passed the round of 16 in men’s singles.
In the final match of the group stage, Fahad Khawaja defeated Darren Douglas of Trinidad and Tobago. He qualified for the Round of 16 by winning all three of Group 15’s preliminary matches.
Previously, Fahad Khawaja beat Christopher Franklin of Guyana 0-4 in the first match of Group 15. In the second match, he beat Mohtasin Ahmed of Bangladesh with a score of 1-4.
Khawaja will face British world number 74 Paul Drinkhall in the men’s singles round of 16 at 4:35pm PKT on Friday.
