BIRMINGHAM: Today is a very good day for Pakistan since the 2022 Commonwealth Games are now taking place in Birmingham. The Pakistani hockey team beat Scotland 3-2 in their third match on Wednesday.
Pakistan came back with an impressive performance after being beaten 4-1 by New Zealand in their last encounter. Scotland put their opponents under pressure when Cammy Golden scored the opener just nine minutes into the clash.
In the second half, Pakistan played impressively and doubled the gap with consecutive goals. Afraz equalized in the 22nd minute. The next minute, Abdul Shahid shot the ball from close range to score the second goal. Pakistan continued to dominate the game and finished the second half with a score of 2-1.
The third half saw both teams vying for the lead until Struan Walker equalized in the 38th minute.
Rooman headed home a third goal after 55 minutes. Pakistan continued to lead until the end of the game. with a convincing victory for the country
