Drake’s odd excuse for short private jet flights leaves fans angry

Rapper Drake responded to a backlash received online earlier this week during a 14-minute flight on a private jet.

The 35-year-old God’s Plan Crooner did his best to clean the air, but his remarks prompted him to a new debate on the Internet.
In response to criticism, a Canadian rapper said the plane had been taken to where it was stored and no one was on board.

This just takes the plane to the airport where they are being stored for anyone interested in logistics,” he wrote, commenting on a post about the controversy on the Real TorontoNews Instagram account. “Nobody gets on that plane.”

Some of Drake’s fans endorsed him, suggesting that celebrities often reschedule flights for convenience.

Many others were outraged that the lack of passengers allowed more pollution from the flight. “Okay, but this is worse, can’t you see how this is worse?” wrote one netizen. “Get up!!! Get on the train!” Added another one.

Last week, the Twitter account @CelebJets, which follows celebrity flights, tweeted that Drake’s jet flew from his hometown of Toronto to Hamilton, Ontario in just 38 miles, or just 14 minutes. According to this, the flight consumed 1,522 liters of fuel and caused 4 tons of CO2 emissions.
