.ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Election Commission on Tuesday unanimously released a ruling on PTI’s foreign funding case, saying the party received banned funding.

The Commission, in its ruling, named a number of foreign individuals and companies for party funding.

Those who sent money to Khan’s party included Inder Dosanjh, Viral Lal, Michael Lane, Saima Ashraf, Murtaza Lokhandwala, Abu Bakr Wakil, Chiranjit Singh, Varsha Lathra and others, Urdu News reported.

However, an Indian-American businesswoman named Romita Shetty remains a trending topic on social media.

This is not the first time Romita Shetty’s name has appeared in Pakistani media. According to The News, his name was featured in an article by our reporter Fakhar Durrani.

Shetty is the chief executive officer of DiMaio Ahmad Capital LLL (DA Capital) and the wife of Pakistani-American businessman Nasir Aziz Ahmed, according to Bloomberg.

According to Aziz’s profile published in Bloomberg, he is a managing partner of DA Capital. The company is known for advising clients on investments and economic planning, among others.

The company’s website mentions that its office is located in New York, USA.

Shetty is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Department of Global Thought at Columbia University.

Her profile on the university’s website lists her as the CEO of DA Capital. She has 27 years of experience in the field of economics.

Previously, the businesswoman was the chairwoman of DA Capital. From 2007 to 2008, she worked for Lehman Brothers, an American investment firm
