LAHORE: Punjab Board of Middle and Secondary Education has introduced a new Quranic translation course for the upcoming school year, Geo News reported on Saturday.
Board of Secondary and Secondary Education (BISE) spokesperson Lahore confirmed the news.
According to details available on Geo News, the board will hold a separate exam on this topic for ninth and eleventh grade students.
Registration for the ninth and eleventh classes will include the said subject.
The spokesperson said the Punjab Textbook and Textbook Department will prepare the syllabus for the course.
The official added that the total score for the event is yet to be determined.
“Incorporating the Quranic translation as a subject will increase the total number of matriculation marks and intermediate grades,” he said.
